An Experimental Traffic Regulation Order is being introduced on Old Ipswich Road, Ardleigh in response to safety concerns and following consultation with residents and businesses at that location.
Following local feedback, we reviewed parking restrictions on Old Ipswich Road, Ardleigh. Design discussions and planning have since taken place and, as a result, on the week commencing 9 May 2022 we will be installing parking restrictions under an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO). This restriction will consist of approximately 98 metres of limited waiting (6 hours no return within 1 hour). Documents and maps detailing this scheme can be found below.
The experimental order will allow us to determine whether the new restrictions have been successful or if amendments are needed. An experimental order can be in place for up to 18 months, but we hope to consider any objections or other comments after 6 months of the order being operational.
